Accueil This conference (COST Action CA23145 conference series) focuses on architectural and urban ambiances as a way to understand how sensory, cultural, and spatial dimensions of built environments relate to human experience—and, specifically for Act 2, on building a shared corpus by improving data/resource collection, organisation, archiving, and long-term accessibility so these resources can feed back into research and design practice. The 5 topic areas the conference accepts : Submissions are invited across five areas (with Topic 2 as the main topic): 1. Defining an Ambiance (theories, methods, case studies, tools, ethics/policy implications; multiple intellectual traditions explicitly welcomed) 2. Data collection and archiving (main topic) (resource types, reliable sources, structuring/indexing, quality criteria, preservation, user-friendly access, impact assessment) 3. Balancing and aligning (terminologies, convergence/divergence, shared methodologies, training and collaborative validation without flattening diversity) 4. Innovation scouting (identifying/documenting exemplary projects/tools, bridging quantitative/qualitative approaches, participatory and artistic practices, sustainability/inclusiveness, databases and showcasing) 5. Outreaching and training (communication and knowledge transfer to designers, researchers, end users, policymakers; actionable formats) |
